Acciofy is operated by AirVault & AV Labs Private Limited (d.b.a. Acciofy), a company registered in India with its registered office at
45/3 Stanley Road, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh – 211002.

We are built on one core promise: your data belongs to you, not to us. This Privacy Policy explains exactly what we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

1. Information We Collect

A. Account Information

Name
Email address
Password (stored only as a secure hash — we never see your plain-text password)

B. Content You Save (“Your Stuff”)

Bookmarks, documents, images, videos, screenshots, notes, and any other content you import or create.
All of this is transferred via TLS, processed on servers with volatile storage, and encrypted and stored with Quantum-Safe Zero-Knowledge Encryption.
We store only the encrypted blobs. We do not possess, and have never possessed, the decryption keys. Not even we can read your content.
Your password is the decryption, which unlocks your private key. A decryption token is generated when you log in and is stored on your device and not on the server. This decryption token then keeps you logged into your session.

C. Usage & Technical Data

Anonymous usage statistics (e.g., number of items saved, search patterns) to improve the product.
IP address and device information (only for security, rate-limiting, and abuse prevention).
We use Google Analytics and PostHog (or similar) to collect anonymized usage data.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide the Acciofy service (search, organisation, AI summaries, etc.).
To communicate with you (account notifications, product updates).
To detect and prevent abuse/fraud.
Never for advertising. We have zero ads and never will.

3. AI / GPT Features

When you choose to summarise or chat with your content:

For AI Chat, Third-party AI providers receive only the data you explicitly choose and only for that session. They do not receive your full library or any persistent identifiers from us.
Only the specific items you select are decrypted and provided to the LLM you are chatting with. After the LLM accesses it, it is immediately removed from memory.

4. Payments (when introduced)

We currently do not process payments.
When we introduce paid plans, we will use Dodo Payments as our payment processor.
We will share only the minimum billing information required to process your subscription (name, email, payment method details).
We reserve the right to change our pricing and subscription plans at any time, with reasonable notice.

5. Who We Share Data With

No one gets your unencrypted content. Ever.
Infrastructure providers receive only encrypted data.
Analytics partners (Google Analytics, PostHog) receive only anonymized usage data.
Payment processor (Dodo Payments, when active) receives only the necessary billing information.
Legal authorities only if we receive a valid court order (in which case we can hand over only encrypted data or account/file metadata).

6. Data Retention

When you delete an item or close your account, the encrypted data is permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days (or sooner if you request immediate deletion).

7. Deleting Your Account

You can delete your Acciofy account whenever you want, for any reason, with no questions asked.

When you delete your account:

Your account is immediately deactivated.
All your personal information (name, email, etc.) is permanently removed.
All your encrypted content is scheduled for permanent deletion from our servers within 30 days.
You will lose access to Acciofy and all saved content.

How to delete your account:

Log in → Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account (self-service button in the app/web).
Or email [email protected] from the email address linked to your account with the subject “Delete My Account”.

We will confirm deletion within 48 hours and complete the process as quickly as possible.

8. Your Rights

Access the personal information we hold about you.
Export your encrypted content (you already have it locally via the webapp/app/extension).

9. Children’s Privacy

Acciofy is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
